The world-renowned Boracay Island in Malay, Aklan is expected to welcome 17 cruise ships this 2025, according to the port cruise ship operations office in the province.
The number is almost double compared to last year’s nine arrivals in the island, which is being promoted as the premier cruise ship hub in the country.
The first five cruise ships, carrying at least a thousand international passengers each, are set to arrive this January. These include Aidastella, Norwegian Sky, and Seaborne Encore.
Another five cruise ships are scheduled to visit the island in February, four in March, two in September, and one in December.
Boracay, the top tourist destination in Western Visayas, is known for its powdery white sand and crystal clear waters.IMT
