The shortage of classrooms continued to be a problem among several schools in Iloilo City that reopened on Monday, July 29.

According to the Schools Division of Iloilo City, 18 public schools implemented a shifting schedule of classes to accommodate all their enrollees for school year 2024-2025.

Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Ma. Luz De los Reyes said these schools have high numbers of enrollees.

Shifting schedules is one of the Department of Education’s (DepEd) strategies to address the classroom shortage.

Among the city schools that resorted to this strategy are Iloilo City National High School, La Paz National High School and Mandurriao National High School.IMT
