Two dead bodies were found in the province of Iloilo on Sunday, Oct. 30.

The body of an elderly man, who went missing in the afternoon of Oct. 29 (Saturday), was found along a riverbank in Barangay San Fernando, Miagao town.

The victim was identified as Federico Pagapulan of Sitio Camambugan in Barangay Dalije. He was believed to have drowned.

In Zarraga town, rescuers found the body of a man who was trapped inside a car that was swept away by rampaging floodwaters on Saturday night.

The fatality was Roger Caro, 50, of Barangay Bululacao, New Lucena town.

Caro’s cousin, Elmer Lascano, 43, of Barangay Bado, Calinog town, managed to escape the car and stayed on the rooftop of a school building.

“Halin kami sa Dumangas kag pag-abot namon sa Bangga Bante (Barangay Jalaud Norte) didto na gin-anod amon salakyan,” he narrated.

“Nakagwa ko sa bintana sang salakyan kag gin-anod ko sang baha pasulod sa Zarraga National High School kag didto na ko nakasaka sa rooftop” Lascano added.
