Two new coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) recoveries have been recorded in Western Visayas, bringing the total recovered patients in the region to six.
Based on the latest bulletin issued by the Department of Health (DOH-6), the additional patients who recovered from the disease are from the provinces of Iloilo and Capiz. No details were provided on the two.
The first four recovered patients in the region are from Bacolod City (2), Iloilo City (1), and Negros Occidental (1).
The number of deaths, on the other hand, remained at seven. The fatalities are from Iloilo province (4), Bacolod City (1), Iloilo City (1), and Capiz (1).
All in all, 40 confirmed COVID-19 cases were recorded in the region as of Sunday, April 12. Broken down, 15 are from Iloilo province, 7 from Bacolod City, 6 from Aklan, 5 from Iloilo City, 4 from Capiz, two from Antique and 1 from Capiz.
The island province of Guimaras has zero COVID-19 cases.IMT
