Three persons were arrested by agents of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) for allegedly performing cosmetic surgeries without professional licenses in Iloilo City.

The suspects fell in an entrapment operation inside the Angel’s Pretty Aesthetic Beauty Lounge in Molo disitrict on Oct. 19.

They were apprehended after receiving marked money worth P10,000 from a poseur client who availed of a nose lift procedure.

NBI identified the three as Ivonne Pal, Roselyn Panes, and Michelle Tamdan.

The operation was conducted following complaints from clients who claimed that they “suffered acute bacterial skin and soft tissue infections” after availing of facial rejuvenation and contouring services from the clinic.

NBI found that the clinic had not been registered with the Professional Regulation Commission and the Food and Drug Administration.

The suspects are facing charges of estafa under Article 315 of the Revised Penal Code, in relation to Republic Act 10175 (Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012) and violation of Republic Act 2382 (Medical Act of 1959).IMT
