Three Ilongga beauties made it to the Miss Universe Philippines (MUPH) organization’s list of official candidates for this year’s edition of the prestigious pageant.

Chloei Darl Gabales, Christiana Afia Yeboah, Vanessa Tse Wing will compete for the Miss Universe Philippines 2023 crown.

The top 40 candidates were announced by the organization on its official Facebook page yesterday, Feb. 18.

Gabales of Jaro, Iloilo City finished first runner-up in the Miss Iloilo 2023 pageant last month.

“When I entered pageantry, it has been a dream for me to have a chance to help my community, come back and celebrate my roots and rich culture,” the 22-year-old accountancy graduate said.

Yeboah, a native of Cabatuan, Iloilo, also vies for the highly-coveted crown. She went viral in 2019 for hailing a motorcycle to catch her oath-taking ceremony.

The Filipina-Ghanian stunner graduated cum laude from the University of the Philippines with a degree in Geodetic Engineering.

Also in the lineup of official candidates is Wing of Jaro.

The Central Philippine University (CPU) graduate was crowned Miss Paraw Regatta in 2016.

Yeboah and Wing will represent Valenzuela and Guimaras, respectively, in the national pageant.IMT
