Active COVID-19 cases in Iloilo province climb to over 2K

The number of active coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases in the province of Iloilo has reached more than 2,000.

Based on the July 13 case bulletin released by the Department of Health (DOH-6), the province has 2,012 active infections.

Since the COVID-19 pandemic began in 2020, the province has recorded 51, 694 confirmed cases of the viral disease. Majority or 47,940 of the figure have recovered while 1,694 have died.

Iloilo has the highest active cases in Western Visayas, followed by Negros Occidental with 408; Iloilo City, 123; Antique, 59; Bacolod City, 51; Aklan, 11; Capiz, 10; and Guimaras, 5.

All in all, the region — currently under COVID-19 Alert Level 1 — has 2,679 active cases.IMT
