The number of active cases of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in the province and city of Iloilo is now at almost 1,000.
Based on the March 29, 2021 bulletin released by the Department of Health (DOH-6), Iloilo province accounted for the most number of active cases in Western Visayas at 569.
Iloilo City, on the other hand, ranked third with 345 active cases.
Active cases involved patients who are still infected with SARS-CoV-2, the coronavirus that causes COVID-19.
The total active cases in the region currently stand at 1,777.
Negros Occidental occupied the second spot with 394 active cases. Bacolod City ranked fourth with 198, followed by Aklan with 173; Antique, 37; Guimaras, 36; and Capiz, 25.IMT
