The number of active COVID-19 cases in the province and city of Iloilo currently stands at more than 1,000.

The Department of Health (DOH-6) has logged 983 active infections in the province and 177 in the city as of Wednesday, Nov. 23.

Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic in March 2020, the province has recorded 49,377 cases, of which 46,727 have recovered and 1,628 have died.

In the city, the case count has reached 35,791 including 34,836 recoveries and 758 deaths.

Iloilo City and Iloilo province are under Alert Level 1, the lowest status in the government’s COVID-19 alert system.IMT
