Mary Jane Veloso has finally returned home.
She arrived at Ninoy Aquino International Airport-Terminal 3 on Wednesday, Dec.18, at around 5:51 a.m.
From there, Veloso was transported to the Correctional Institution for Women in Mandaluyong City.
She will undergo a mandatory 5-day quarantine at the Reception and Diagnostic Center, followed by a 55-day period for orientation, diagnostic evaluation, and initial security classification.
BuCor Director General Gregorio Catapang Jr. assured her family that after the 5-day quarantine, during which she will receive a medical and physical examination, they will be allowed to visit Veloso in time for Christmas.
Veloso, 39, was on death row in Indonesia for drug trafficking and was nearly executed by firing squad in 2015.IMT
