The MBC Media Group has decided to cancel the staging of the 2025 edition of the Aliwan Fiesta.
“The proposed schedule of this year’s event falls between the Holy Week and the May 2025 Midterm Elections, creating logistical challenges for all stakeholders,” the organizer said on Wednesday, Jan. 8.
“We greatly value your understanding and ongoing support,” it added.
The Aliwan Fiesta is an annual gathering of cultural festivals from different regions, provinces, cities, and towns in the country.
Last year, Iloilo City’s Dinagyang Festival was declared champion in the Streetdance Competition of the Aliwan Fiesta.IMT
