Nearly 21,000 students took the West Visayas State University College Admission Test (WVSUCAT) on Sunday, March 10.
WVSU registered a total of 20,925 applicants this year, higher compared to 18,630 examinees in 2023.
Of the latest figure, 11,600 trooped to the main campus of WVSU in La Paz, Iloilo City and 9,325 headed to the university’s satellite campuses.
“This year’s cohort is the largest yet,” WVSU said in a Facebook post.
Last year, only 29 percent of the takers passed the admission test, the first step in pursuing undergraduate degrees that WVSU offers.IMT
