Ayala Corporation, the country’s oldest and largest conglomerate, is eyeing to bring more projects to Iloilo City.

According City Mayor Jerry Treñas, the Zobel family-led company expressed intention to expand its healthcare services.

Ayala is planning develop its in-vitro fertilization (IVF) center and integrated practice unit in its QualiMed Hospital in Mandurriao district.

The project is already in its second phase of expansion, according to Henry Tupas, director and president of the Iloilo Fertility and Reproductive Care Center.

It is the first and only fertility and IVF center in Western Visayas.

Ayala is also keen on developing more residential and commercial properties as well as business process outsourcing (BPO) buildings in the city.

These, Treñas said, will eventually bring in additional job opportunities for Ilonggos.

Ayala president and CEO Fernando Zobel de Ayala was in Iloilo last week. He met with Treñas, Iloilo Governor Arthur Defensor Jr., and Ilonggo Senator Franklin Drilon.

“Nakita nila (investors) nga kadamo sang potential sang Iloilo and it is really about time for us to unravel these potentials para man sa aton mga kabaaan nga nagapangita trabaho,” said Treñas.IMT
