Sprinters from the Bago City Athletes Club-Team Jolito Coaching, Himamaylan -Pav Sports, and Escalante Strides -A ruled their respective divisions in the just-concluded NEGROS CINCO DE NOVIEMBRE team relay.
The Bagonhon runners clocked two hours, 34 minutes and 57 seconds to dominate the Open category followed by Himamaylan City with a blistering two hours, 36 minutes and a second. Victorias City, on the other hand, finished third place with a time of 2:36.24.
For the Executive category, the Himamaylan -Pav Sports registered 2:56.01 as the Bacolod-Road Stallions settled for the second place with the time of 3 hours, 3 minutes and 8 seconds as the F5/DSB finished third place with 3:12.01.
The Escalante Strides-A clocked 2:46.53 to rule the Under 19 category followed by Bago City with 2:47.11 and Calatrava-A with 2:48.07.
Gov. Eugenio ‘Bong’ Lacson led the awarding of prizes with the champions receiving P 10,000 each as the second placers took home P 8,000 apiece, and the third placers got P 5,000 each. Consolation prizes were also given away.
