Iloilo City Representative Julienne Baronda and Iloilo Third District Representative Lorenz Defensor topped a survey on the job performance of legislators in Western Visayas (WV).
Based on the results of the September survey conducted by the RP-Mission and Development Foundation Inc. (RPMD), Baronda received a job performance rating of 91.8 percent.
In a statement, Baronda thanked Ilonggos for giving her “an exceedingly gratifying performance assessment score.”
“We will cherish this not just as an achievement but rather an expression of your love and a challenge for us to do a lot more and perform way better toward the realization of the dream of our leader, Mayor Jerry Treñas, along with Uswag Ilonggo, of raising our city to the next level,” she said.
Defensor came in second with a rating of 90.6 percent. He was in a statistical tie with Negros Occidental Third District Representative Kiko Benitez, who got a rating of 90.2 percent.

RPMD said the WV survey was a component of the nationwide ‘Boses ng Bayan’ comprehensive evaluation of the performance of public officials using face-to-face interviews.
Conducted from September 20 to 30 this year, the survey involved 10,000 respondents and had a sampling error margin of +/-1 pecent at a 95 percent confidence level.IMT
