A significant increase in daily departures is projected after the New Year holidays, with numbers likely to surpass 40,000 per day.

“Post-Christmas, we have processed nearly 40,000 daily departures,” shared Viado. “We expect these figures to climb further after the New Year, as overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) and former Filipinos who returned home for the holidays resume work and return to their residences abroad.”
Viado also noted the smooth and efficient operations of BI during the holiday peak season, with no major incidents or concerns reported.
“We are optimistic that these smooth operations will continue through the New Year, as the volume of travelers returning home abroad increases,” he added.IMT
