The Bureau of Immigration (BI) has launched an online application system for student visas and permits.
At an event held in Intramuros, Manila, Commissioner Joel Viado praised the initiative, saying that it brings the BI closer to its goal of modernizing services through automation.
“This is a priority project of the BI to make things easier and more secure for foreign students to apply for their visas and permits,” according to Viado.
The new system allows schools to submit applications directly to the BI, removing unnecessary paperwork and enhancing convenience by offering an online process.
The service can be accessed through the BI e-services website at e-services.immigration.gov.ph.
Viado also emphasized that the system is part of the country’s efforts to establish the Philippines as a leading educational hub in Asia.IMT
