The Bureau of Immigration (BI) on Thursday, April 10, issued a reminder to all foreign nationals in the Philippines: do not engage in any political activities while in the country.

“Foreign nationals are not allowed to partake in poltical activities, rallies dito sa bansa whether pro or anti government,” BI spokesperson Dana Sandoval said during the Meet the Manila Press forum.

Sandoval emphasized that foreigners must abide by Philippine laws, respect its citizens, and refrain from participating in political discussions.

The official 45-day campaign period for local candidates in the 2025 Philippine elections began on March 28. Meanwhile, the 90-day campaign period for senatorial candidates and party-list groups started on February 11.IMT
