Slain businesswoman Claire Diergos was buried in her hometown in Buenavista, Guimaras on Sunday, Nov. 7.

At least a thousand joined the funeral procession of Diergos, 36, who was found lifeless inside her car in Barangay Inangayan, Santa Barbara, Iloilo on October 26.

Some of them wore white shirts printed with messages calling for justice for Diergos.

Emotions poured out from the relatives, friends, and supporters as they sent Diergos to her final rest at a private cemetery.

The victim suffered multible stab wounds on different parts of her body.

“Sa nagpatay sa magulang ko, kabay pa mapatay kamo kag sobra pa nga pag-antos ang inyo madangtan,” said Diergo’s younger sister who broke down in tears in front of the casket.

Investigation is ongoing to identify all persons involved in the killing of Diergos.

Based on the Sta. Barbara police’s initial investigation, the victim was killed inside her house in Deca Homes, a subdivision in Pavia, Iloilo.
