Two players from Capiz and Iloilo will showcase their basketball prowess in the JB Amateur Basketball League Elite division season II in Iloilo City.
Jim Sencil, a former cager from Hercor College of Roxas City, Capiz will be one of the additions to Team Pepsi, formerly Team Hiyang Filinvest.
Sencil, who is a former player of the Manila Sausage Kings in the Community Basketball Association said he’s happy to be part of the league. Before making a a name in Manila, Sencil carried his team to a grand slam championship in the Milo Passerelle, ISAA, and ILORPISAA. He was also part of Hercor’s five-peat victory in the Capiz PRISAA.
“Sa JB ang hampangon ko lng kung ano gid ang hampang ko kag ang role ko sa team. I’ll give my best nga maka bulig sa team Pepsi. Sa tournament, I look forward nga mag enjoy gid ang tanan nga team,” he shared.
Meanwhile, Ilonggo Miguel Sasuman will make an appearance in the ODM Sportswear. Considered as one of the best collegiate players in Iloilo City, the crafty point guard from Central Philippine University (CPU) will share his skills to former Asialink star Wilmer Dalumpines, former Hua Siong big man Jesse Sullano, who were also acquired by team ODM.
Sasuman also led his team to various local tournaments – ILOPRISAA, pre-Sinadya Basketball Cup in Roxas, and Dinagyang Basketball Cup. IMT
