Cash donations have begun to pour in for the four-year-old girl who was severely burned by hot water inside their house in Poblacion Ilawod, Lambunao, Iloilo.
Joanna Isabelle “Sabel” Lisao suffered second-degree burns on 89 percent of her body after she accidentally tipped the pot of hot water that fell on her.
Covered with gauze, Sabel is currently confined in Western Visayas Medical Center (WVMC) in Mandurriao District, Iloilo City.
Their hospital bill, excluding medicines and surgery, reached more than P230 thousand from almost two weeks of admission.
On Saturday, Oct. 2, Sabel’s family reached out Iloilo Metropolitan Times (IMT NEWS) to help them raise money for the child’s treatment.
As of 6 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 3, IMT NEWS was able to gather some 31,500 cash donations from good samaritans.IMT
