In his Christmas message to judiciary workers, Chief Justice Alexander Gesmundo highlighted the importance of maintaining a work-life balance.
“This Christmas season, we must once again find a balance within our busy lives: between giving and receiving, between work and rest, and between serving others and caring for our own needs,” said Gesmundo.
He continued, “While our schedules nowadays demand much from us, we must remember to draw strength from the relationships and moments that bring us true happiness.
The Chief Magistrate stressed the need to reconnect with the “true sources of our joy,” including family, faith, and community.
“As we strive to fulfill our duty of bringing justice to others, let us not forget to give the gift of presence to ourselves and to those we hold dear,” according to him.
Gesmundo pointed out that joy in both their professional and personal lives is essential, not a luxury.
“To be truly productive servants of the people, we must not only find meaning, but also joy, in what we do and even in who we are outside our careers,” he added.IMT
