Christmas break for public school learners starts December 18

The Christmas break for public school learners from Kindergarten to Grade 12 will start on December 18, 2023.

The resumption of classes, according the Department of Education’s (DepEd) school calendar, is on January 3, 2024.

Hernani Escullar Jr., DepEd-6 information officer, said the 16-day break is an opportunity for students and school personnel to bond with their families during the holidays.

For private school learners, their administrators may set a different schedule. Under DepEd rules, private schools are allowed to set their own Christmas break schedules.

Meanwhile, the end of school year break is set on June 17 to August 25, 2024.IMT
