The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP-6) recorded three fire incidents in Iloilo City from December 24 to 26 this year.

On Christmas Eve, 23 houses were totally burned while three were partially damaged when a fire broke out in barangays San Juan and Calumpang, Molo district.

According to City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO), the fire displaced 37 families or 143 individuals.

On Christmas Day, an ancestral house was razed by a fire in Barangay Bonifacio, Arevalo district.

In Barangay Veterans Village, City Proper, 13 houses were totally destroyed while six were partially burned in a fire that errupted on the following day.

The blazed affected 71 families or 195 individuals. The estimated cost of damage to property was placed at P1.2 million.IMT
