Former Iloilo City mayor Jed Patrick Mabilog needs to reactivate his voter registration so he can participate in the 2025 midterm elections.
COMELEC-Iloilo City Assistant Officer II Jonathan Sayno said Mabilog’s voter registration status is deactivated.
“His name was removed from the list of registered voters due to failure to vote in two consecutive elections,” he explained.
Mabilog, who left the Philippines in August 2017, failed to participate in the 2018, 2019 and 2022 elections.
According to Sayno, the former mayor and other deactivated voters can register again before the registration period ends on Sept. 30 this year.
Mabilog is rumored to return to the country and run for a local post in the May 12, 2025 elections.IMT
