A couple died after their sidecar was rammed by an Elf truck in Barangay Kirayan Norte, Miagao, Iloilo early Wednesday morning, March 15.
The fatalities were identified as Jessie Losada and his wife Veronica of Barangay Rizal Estanzuela, Iloilo City.
The two were declared dead on arrival at the Miag-ao Rural Health Unit. They suffered fatal body injuries.
Their 42-year-old companion, Franklyn Vargas of Barangay Kirayan Norte, was in critical condition.
Elf truck driver Sinplicio Fernandez, 47, of Barangay Agdahon, Patnongon, Antique said he did not notice the sidecar parked by the roadside.
The victims were thrown off the sidecar, according to the town’s police station.
Sinplicio was placed under police custody. He will face charges for reckless imprudence resulting in double homicide, serious physical injury and damage to property.IMT
