Two couples in Iloilo City tied the knot amid the implementation of the general community quarantine (GCQ) due to the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic.

The wedding ceremony was officiated by Mayor Jerry Treñas at City Hall.

“As we try to slowly get everything back to its normal pace, these couples exchanged their vows as a symbol of their love for each other eternally,” Treñas said.

According to the mayor, those who attended the ceremony observed social distancing and other safety measures to prevent the spread of the dreaded disease.

Civil weddings are allowed in areas under GCQ, provided the attendees will not exceed five people. IMT
