Confirmed coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases in the province of Iloilo have reached 30,270, data from the Provincial Health Office (PHO) showed.
Of the figure (as of Sept. 20), 6,816 or 23 percent are considered active or those who are still infected with the coronavirus, 22,620 or 75 percent have recovered, 725 or two percent have died.
The average number of new COVID-19 cases in province per day is 291, according to PHO.
The town of Oton topped the list with 2,622 cases since the pandemic broke out in March last year, followed by Santa Barbara (1,841), Pavia (1,809), Passi City (1,739), Miagao (1,203), Pototan (1,201), San Joaquin (1,142), Guimbal (1,072), Concepcion (875), and Janiuay (861).
Oton also has the highest active cases with 394, followed by Janiuay (302), Pavia (292), Guimbal (292), Leon (277), Passi City (269), Pototan (259), Lambunao (242), Barotac Nuevo (234), and Sara (220).IMT
