The Department of Health (DOH-6) on Sunday, Sept. 6, reported 254 new confirmed cases of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in Western Visayas.
These additional cases jacked up the region’s infection tally to 5,954.
Bacolod City registered the highest number of the new cases with 146, followed by Negros Occidental, 41; Iloilo City, 35; Iloilo province, 21; Capiz, 12; and Guimaras, 1.
The provinces of Aklan and Antique had no new cases of COVID-19.
The DOH-6 also logged 54 new recoveries, raising the total number of COVID-19 survivors to 2,914.
