Putting icing on a cake.

The Denver Nuggets bounced back from a shocking defeat as they eliminated the favored Los Angeles Clippers in a scintillating Game 7, 104-89.

After making history with two consecutive comebacks from a 3-1 series deficit, Denver will take on LA Lakers in the 2020 NBA Western Conference Finals with a chance to make the NBA Finals for the first time in franchise history.

It was a come-from-behind victory for the Nuggets as they were limited from scoring in the shaded area. But after Clippers’ 12-point advantage, Denver made a crippling run and delivered the killers blows to dismantle the Kawhi Leonard and Paul George-starred Clippers.

The impressive performances of Denver’s dynamic duo, Jamal Murray and Nikola Jokic completed a comeback history as they paced their team to reach the conference finals.

Murray scored 40 points, while Jokic had a triple-double by the third quarter to allow Denver became the first team in NBA history to rally from a 3-1 series deficit twice in the same post-season.

Denver will face LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers in the conference finals. The Nuggets were trailing by 12 in the first half, but found themselves in the driver’s seat, following a 35-13 blitz to get the lead in fourth canto.

Despite the additions of Leonard and George, the Clippers fell short of the conference finals. Leonard finished with 14 points on 6-of-22 shooting, while George had 10 points on 4-of-16 shooting. IMT
