A policeman in Lambunao, Iloilo lost a portion of his middle finger after a detainee bit it off on Saturday evening, Nov. 25.
Police Corporal Gilbert Ajeno was bitten by Jeffrey Liboon, 33, inside the detention facility of the town’s police station.
According to Police Major Joegen Suegay, chief of police, Liboon was screaming and banging the iron bars.
When Ajeno approached and tried to stop Liboon from being violent, the latter immediately grabbed the former’s left hand and bit off the middle finger.
The cop was brought to a hospital for medical treatment.
Suegay said Liboon is a suspect in a stabbing incident that took place during a thanksgiving party in Barangay Natividad, Lambunao.IMT
