Access to the healthcare system in Iloilo City is made even better with the recent partnership of the Iloilo City government and CareSpan Asia, Inc. for the pilot implementation of integrated Digital Health Platform.

Iloilo City Mayor Jerry P. Treñas and CareSpan Asia President Danilo Sebastian Reyes inked a Memorandum of Agreement that enables the Digital Health Platform to provide medical services to the constituents, especially those in inaccessible areas.

“The piloting of the platform is targeted to happen at the two coastal barangays to ensure that the residents will be able to have their own medical checkups easier and to have better access to healthcare,” Mayor Treñas said.

To note, CareSpan is the licensed holder and operator of the Department of Health (DOH)-vetted CareSpan Digital Health Platform, which provides doctors with online tools for conducting remote telemedicine visits with patients and storing patient electronic medical records.

CareSpan also presented the plan of providing two accredited PhilHealth Konsulta Facilities or two district health centers that will give telemedicine platform access for patients and healthcare workers.

Meanwhile, patients access their records, but, they need to provide consent to those who will have access to their records to avoid any data leakage as they have full control over their personal information.

“We believe that the provision of healthcare is for everyone; that’s why we have chosen Iloilo as one of the prominent cities to partner with, as this will enable and inspire other cities in the country to follow, and for the Universal Healthcare Act to be successfully implemented,” CareSpan Asia President Reyes stated.AAL/LMLE/PIA Iloilo/Iloilo City PIO
