The Civil Service Commission (CSC) is pursuing digitalization for its civil service examinations to accommodate more takers.
“We are now in the process of procuring a new system which we will call the CSC-DEX or digital exams,” CSC Chairperson Karlo Nograles said in a Palace briefing.
Nograles said this will guarantee more slots for those who want to take the Civil Service exams computerized and internet connected.
A lot of young graduates are interested in taking the examinations, he added.
Despite doubling the exam slots between 700,000 and 750,000 per year, Nograles said they are still insufficient to meet demand.
“We hope to be able to provide the CSC-DEX to all regional and field offices namin nationwide that has strong internet because it’s internet-based and then conduct it Mondays to Fridays to increase the number of slots we offer every year,” he added.
With the help of CSC-DEX, the CSC said that 100,000 more slots are expected to be produced.IMT
