A total of 372 accommodation establishments in Boracay were already approved for operation, the Department of Tourism (DOT) said.
Seven more establishments were able to comply with the requirements set by the Boracay Interagency Task Force, the DOT said.
“Additional seven establishments with 65 rooms are now accredited for a total of 372 establishments accounting to 13,207 room,” the DOT said in its latest advisory posted on its official Facebook page.
Previously, the DOT reminded the public to avoid transactions with establishments that have not yet secured the necessary clearances and permits.
The DOT then said that it will continue to accredit compliant accommodation establishments that pass the standards of the agency and other agencies such as the Interior and Environmental departments.
“We are making sure the Task Force requirements are 100 percent complied with,” said Tourism Secretary Bernadette Romulo-Puyat.
The world-famous island was closed to tourists for six-months in April 2018 to give way for a massive rehabilitation.
