Engineer Sanny Boy Oropel has been designated as the new head of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) in Western Visayas.
Based on Special Order No, 160 Series of 2023, Oropel is assigned as DPWH-6 office-in-charge (OIC) effective August 1.
Oropel, who served as head of the Iloilo 2nd District Engineering Office (DEO), succeeded engineer Nerie Bueno.
Bueno is designated as OIC of the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Operations for Region VI, Region VII, Region VIII, Region IV-A and Region IV-B.
DPWH-6 is the implementing agency of the controversial P680-million Ungka Flyover located between Iloilo City and the town of Pavia, Iloilo province.IMT
