The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD-6) has commenced the enrollment process for pregnant and lactating mothers (PLMs) among the beneficiaries of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) in Western Visayas.
This initiative is under the “i-Registro ang F1KD sa 4Ps,” a digital and self-service platform that simplified the process of enrolling pregnant and lactating 4Ps beneficiaries to the Pantawid Pamilya Information System (PPIS) needed for the implementation and provision of the First 1,000 Days (F1KD) conditional cash grants.
The F1KD program provides monthly health grants worth P350 to female 4Ps beneficiaries who are pregnant and households that have children from 0 to 2 years old.
This additional financial assistance aims to cover essential health and nutrition expenses during this critical period of a child’s life and support the prevention of malnutrition and child stunting.
To strengthen the rollout of the registration, the DSWD’s National Household Targeting Section (NHTS), led by Regional Field Coordinator Mark Louis M. Babiarte, has conducted a series of orientations and live demonstrations among 4Ps staff in the provinces of the region.
During the special 4Ps meeting in Roxas City, DSWD 6 4Ps Division chief Belen P. Gebusion emphasized that this “digital tool simplifies the process of updating beneficiary information in the 4Ps allowing for smoother and more efficient service delivery.”

Simultaneous field registrations were held in the towns of Dao and Ivisan in Capiz on February 5 where 4Ps beneficiaries experienced ease in updating their information through the simple process of the i-Registro.
The NHTS also organized a live demonstration in Aklan to equip local 4Ps staff with the necessary tools and knowledge to efficiently navigate the i-Registro web portal.
To note, F1KD cash grants have conditionalities aligned with the implementation of Republic Act No. 11148 or the Kalusugan at Nutrisyon ng Mag-Nanay Act and existing Department of Health (DOH) protocols.
The conditionalities include accessing prenatal services at DOH-accredited health facilities, tracking pregnancy, and receiving ante-natal care services, child birthing or delivery at a DOH-accredited health facility, attending postnatal visits, participating in counseling sessions, and obtaining micronutrient supplements and immunizations, among others.AAL/FRG/PIA6
