At least 120 persons deprived of liberty (PDLs) at the Iloilo City District Jail (ICDJ) Female Dormitory received hygiene products from the Iloilo City Hall Press Corps (ICHPC).
ICHPC turned over 210 packs of sanitary pads and bath soap to Senior Jail Officer 3 Jesus A. Colendes, assistant warden of ICDJ Female Dormitory, on Dec. 3.
This year’s gift-giving activity of ICHPC was made possible through the support of Panay Energy Development Corporation (PEDC), a subsidiary of Global Business Power Corporation (GBP).
ICHPC president Runelyn Jamolo said she was thankful because their traditional Christmas activity pushed through despite the restrictions and limited movement due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Jamolo was joined by Maira Montelijao, PEDC corporate communication officer, during the “simple” turnover ceremony.
ICHPC has been conducting the gift-giving activity for female PDLs since 2001.IMT
