Dozens of houses were razed when a fire engulfed a residential area in Barangay Tanza Timawa Zone II, Iloilo City on Friday, March 25.
Based on initial data released by the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO), the fire gutted 37 houses.
Of the number, 24 houses were totally burned and 13 were partially damaged by the fire that broke out at 6:11 p.m. and was put under control at 6:49 p.m.
The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) was still conducting an investigation to determine the origin and cause of the blaze.
Displaced families were given temporary shelter at Rizal Elementary School.
There were no injuries or fatalities reported from the fire.IMT
