More than 50 villages in the town of Miagao, Iloilo were hit by flash floods spawned by heavy rains on Monday, Sept. 6.
John Nocal, Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) officer-in-charge, said they are still consolidating data to determine the full extent and cost of damage to agriculture and infrastructure.
Some residents posted on social media photos and videos of damaged crops, destroyed structures, and dead animals.

Damage to infrastructure, on the other hand, was initially placed at P1 million.
So far, five carabaos and two cows were reported dead.
