Lechons or roasted pigs will be served for free during the celebration of the Paraw Regatta Festival at Tatoy’s Beach Front in Arevalo district, Iloilo City on March 3.

Among the activities lined up for the festival is the Paraw Lechon Contest, which aims to showcase Arevalo’s lechon products.

John Lex Bayombong, chairperson of the Paraw Regatta Festival, said they are eyeing 10 to15 lechon makers to participate in the contest.

After the judging, the public will be given a chance to taste the lechons for free.

This year’s edition of Paraw Regatta, the oldest sailing event in Southeast Asia and the biggest in the Philippines, will officially open on February 25.IMT
