Global Business Power Corporation (GBP), through subsidiaries Panay Energy Development Corporation (PEDC) and Panay Power Corporation (PPC), donated food to help residents of Iloilo City, who have been greatly affected by quarantine measures.
The power producer provided a total of 150 sacks of rice and more than 16,000 pieces of canned goods and instant food in response to the city government’s appeal for support.
GBP’s Panay Community Relations team turned over the donated goods to the city government on June 14 at the Jaro Plaza Gymnasium.
Present during the turnover were city government representative Arjay L. Biñas, GBP Community Relations Officer Michael S. Guanco, and GBP Community Relations Associates, Evone M. Pendon and Jenema Gabrielle D. Fernandez.
A member of the One Meralco Group, GBP unites in powering the good life of the Filipino by partnering with the government in its COVID-19 response.
The entire city is currently under modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ), the second strictest quarantine classification in the country.IMT
