There are now more reasons to enjoy Boracay, one of the Philippines’ top beach destinations.
Visitors and locals alike may enjoy more of what Boracay has to offer with the launch of Globe’s EasyHub last August 1 at the D’Mall, the area’s premier shopping and dining place.
EasyHub is a one-stop shop for all essential needs, especially useful for “digitally-hesitant” individuals and clients who are more comfortable and typically prefer the traditional way of doing things. It combines the ease and familiarity of brick-and-mortar stores with the convenience of digital technology for a faster and more secure experience.
The interactive kiosk makes it easier for residents, small and medium-sized businesses, and tourists to get what they need without going through multiple steps or different channels.
“Online transactions accelerated in 2020 and 2021, and in a way, have become the norm going into 2022. Consumers and businesses were forced to quickly adapt to the changes. It has become necessary to switch from in-person interactions to online-based transactions or at least provide the option,” said Julie Querubin, Retail Area Head for Globe EasyHub Visayas.
“Because it has always been our goal to put the needs of our customers first, Globe EasyHub is Globe’s effort to make life better for every Filipino seeking a safe and practical method to navigate the new normal. This is our pledge to promote steady economic growth and give each Globe customer the very best service possible,” she added.
EasyHub features the Pay Zone and the Care Zone, where customers may make transactions without the hassle of advanced queuing and waiting. The Pay Zone offers vending machines that accept cash to pay bills for Globe, Innove, and Bayantel accounts. Customers may also add funds to their GCash wallet, buy load for prepaid accounts, and even purchase a special SIM card with data inclusion.
Over in the Care Zone, customers will feel empowered and confident to use different services such as paying bills via the GlobeOne app or the vending machine through helpful screenshots that will guide them through the process. They may also request service support through the GlobeOne app.
“Globe Stores will continue to play a critical role for Globe and our customers. But as we move forward to a more digital world, our customers’ needs also change, hence we also need to transform so we can continue to be relevant and provide value to their lives,” shared Ace Ople, Head of Globe Easy Hub.
Consumer habits have changed since the pandemic struck and Globe was quick to address many concerns, including the fear of contracting the virus when going out. EasyHub is a safe and convenient solution that allows customers to get what they need without worrying about their health.
This innovative one-stop kiosk is in line with Globe’s commitment to innovation and infrastructure as drivers of economic growth and development in support of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDG), particularly UN SDG 9.
The EasyHub in Boracay is the 17th of its kind, joining numerous booths placed strategically in selected malls across the country to make them accessible to more people. Globe has already put up EasyHub kiosks in Ayala Malls Manila Bay, SM Manila, Robinsons Place Bacolod City, SM Seaside Cebu, and Super Metro Calbayog. More outlets are set to open in different locations nationwide soon.
