A Grade 10 student was arrested in a drug buy-bust operation in Barangay Buyuan, Tigbauan, Iloilo on Saturday night, Feb. 25.
The suspect was identified as John Paul P. Teje, 18, of Barangay Poblacion 2, Tigbauan.
Yielded from Teje was about three grams of shabu worth more than P20 thousand.
Police Captain Mary Jane Panes, commander of Tigbauan Municipal Police Station, said the suspect served as a “runner” of another drug personality in the town.
Teje, according to her, admitted that he was using and pushing illegal drugs, which were sourced from Iloilo City.
The detained suspect will face charges for violation of sections 5 and 11 of the R.A 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.IMT
