A graduating senior high school student was arrested in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Salacay, Cabatuan, Iloilo.
The suspect was identified as Rogen Mark Cartoja, 19, of Barangay Inaca, Cabatuan.
Cartoja was nabbed together with his cousin, Jimmy Tabares, 33, of Barangay Tolarucan, Mina, Iloilo.
In a radio report, Cartoja denied having any idea about his cousin’s illegal drug transaction.
He said he was merely the driver of the motorcycle used by Tabares, the subject of the operation on May 23.
Authorities recovered nine sachets of suspected shabu (crystal meth), buy-bust money worth P14,000, a handgun, and two live ammunition.
The two are currently and will face illegal drug charges.IMT
