A taxi driver from Pavia, Iloilo returned more than P2 million in cash left by one of his passengers.
Anthony Aguirre of A&A Marie Taxi turned over a backpack containing P2.4 million to Police Station 8 in Iloilo City on Saturday, Jan. 18.
The backpack is owned by Aguirre’s passenger whom he ferried from a hotel to Lapuz Wharf in the city on Friday, Jan. 17.
The driver found the bag below the front seat of his unit the following day. Without hesitation, he brought the backpack to the police station.
The backpack’s owner, a businesswoman, was thankful for the honesty of Aguirre.IMT
