Former Iloilo City mayor Jed Patrick Mabilog is not keen on filing charges against former president Rodrigo Duterte.
In an ANC interview, Mabilog said he has already forgiven Duterte, who baselessly accused him of being a drug protector.
The former mayor left the country in August 2017 because, according to him, there were threats against his life and safety.
“I just want peace,” Mabilog said, adding that the criminal case filed against Duterte before the International Criminal Court (ICC) is “good enough.”
“I always believe in justice that they (Duterte and his aides) have to pay for whatever wrong that they have done and they have to face the consequences of their actions,” he stressed.
Mabilog returned to the Philippines on Tuesday morning, Sept. 10, from the United States of America where he was granted political asylum.IMT
