Swedish home furnishing brand IKEA is bringing its new services to Iloilo and two other major cities in the Visayas and Mindanao.

Starting Jan. 15 this year, Ilonggos can avail of truck delivery, Click & Collect, and assembly services.

These will allow them to buy any product available at IKEA.ph regardless of size and weight.

Through truck delivery, orders will be sent straight to their homes using Mober’s electric vehicles.

IKEA sealed a partnership with Mober, the pioneer in electric vehicle delivery in the Philippines, “to ensure zero emissions and a sustainable delivery process.”

With Click & Collect, customers who opt to pick up their online orders at their most convenient time may choose to do so at a designated collection point in Iloilo City.

“By introducing truck delivery, Click & Collect, and assembly services together with Mober, we are bringing the full IKEA online shopping experience to more people outside of Luzon, while also prioritizing sustainability and reducing our environmental impact,” said Jarek Lesniewski, Country Fulfillment Manager at IKEA Philippines.

“We are committed to providing an exceptional shopping experience to the many Filipinos, throughout the entire country,” he added.

The truck delivery service costs P1,690 for Iloilo City, Pavia, Santa Barbara, Leganes, Oton and San Miguel; P1,890 for Dumangas, Pototan, Guimbal, and Cabatuan; and P1,990 for Passi City.

For the Click & Collect service, orders can be picked up from Muelle Lonely Street, City Proper for a flat rate fee of P590.

Rates for the assembly and other services are as follows:

  • All other furniture that requires assembly is nine percent of the original product’s retail price.
  • Sofa, sofa-bed, armchair, and footstool assembly is 2.5 percent of the original product retail price.
  • A P50 charge per drilled hole applies to products, which require wall mounting and where assembly service has not been booked.

Meanwhile, the parcel delivery fee starts at P350 for the Visayas and Mindanao for orders up to a maximum weight of 40kg and a maximum length of 1.7 meters.

IKEA, which has more than 460 stores across the globe, offers “well-designed, functional home furnishing products at prices so low that as many people as possible are able to afford them.”IMT
