Efforts are underway to minimize power interruptions in the town of Alimodian and other areas covered by the Iloilo Electric Cooperative (ILECO I).
ILECO I general manager Miguel Paguntalan, Jr. made this assurance after Alimodian Vice Mayor Mayor Geefre “Calay” Alonsabe called them out for their alleged inefficient service.
“May uran man o bagyo kag mayad ang tiempo amo man guihapon ang inyo serbisyo. ‘Di man ninyo maplease ang inyo tanan nga kunsumedorr pero, tani makita kag mabatyagan ninyo ang reklamo kang tawo kag ano ang inyo solusyon nga mapahaganhagan ang pangakroy ka tawo sa inyo nga serbisyo,” Alonsabe said in a Facebook post last week.
“PALIHOG LANG! Kay-uha ang inyo serbisyo kay nagabayad ti mayad kag husto ang inyo kunsumedor, therefore, naga-ekspectar kami kang inyo mayad nga serbisyo luwas sa mahal kang inyo kuryente pero ang serbisyo ninyo patay man kag sendi,” the public official further said.
In a statement sent to IMT NEWS, Paguntalan said they already explained the frequent power interruptions to the Sangguniang Bayan of Alimodian during their session on June 24.
“ILECO I promised the good VM to act on the matter [in] the first week of July since we are going to inspect the barangays identified,” he added.
As part of the efforts to improve its service as a power distributor, ILECO I will conduct “corrections and clearing operations” starting Tuesday, July 2.
“We know the frustrations of VM Alonsabe since last night (June 30) a prolonged interruption was again experienced caused by NGCP (National Grid Corporation of the Philippines),” said Paguntalan.
“We hope to have clarified the issues although we have some obligations to deliver and improve on our part. Rest assured that we will take responsibility [for] things that rest on our operation,” he added.
Aside from Alimodian, ILECO I also serves the towns of Oton, Tigbauan, Guimbal, Miagao, San Joaquin, San Miguel, Igbaras, Tubungan, Leon, Santa Barbara, Pavia, Cabatuan, Maasin, and Leganes.IMT
