The official Facebook page of the Iloilo City Government has been hacked.
In a statement, Mayor Jerry Trenas urged the public to “report suspicious and unwanted posts, including messages sent.”
“Rest assured everything is being done to recover the account. Thank you,” he said.
The page (@iloilocitygov), which has 264 thousand followers, had an unauthorized access starting on Tuesday morning, Jan. 31.
Created in 2010, the Facebook account is being managed by the city government’s Public Information Office (PIO).IMT
