Mayor Jerry Treñas said that the Iloilo City Government is eyeing to put up a drive-thru vaccination site to speed up the city’s inoculation program.

“For a faster vaccination process, the COVID Team will study the drive-thru vaccination for those with vehicles that will take their second dose,” he said.

Treñas said that some 3,000 to 4,000 individuals are being master listed daily, which is an indication of the high acceptance for vaccination in this city.

“We are reminding everyone on their schedule for COVID-19 vaccination as we try to protect more Ilonggos from the deadly virus,” he said.

He reminded those who registered for the availment of the vaccine to bring their ticket, come at their scheduled time, and to strictly follow the protocols for safety.

Currently, there are two vaccination sites in Iloilo City – the Central Philippine University Gymnasium and the Iloilo Convention Center.

Meanwhile, as per data from the Department of Health-6, a total of 37,279 individuals in Iloilo City from Priority Group A have received their first dose of COVID-19 vaccine.JSC/LTP/PIA6 Iloilo
